The Tracy Wrestling Club hosted its home Folkstyle wrestling tournament for 2020 on January 19th. Over 250 wrestlers from all over the region flocked to Tracy to compete. Thirty-seven teams competed in 350+ matches. Tracy Wrestling Club wrestlers had 116 matches alone! Wrestling began at 9:30 am and on average, a new match began every 1.2 minutes.
The Tracy Wrestling Club had forty-seven wrestlers enter the tournament. Thirty of those wrestlers placed in top three for their age and weight bracket. TWC had🥇12 1st place medalists, 🥈10 2nd place medalists, and 🥉8 3rd place medalists. This does not include all our 5/6 year old medalists!
The tournament was a huge success and could not have been done without the amazing volunteer coaches, parents, siblings, friends, and family that helped. Tracy Wrestling Club would like to thank all of our volunteers, the San Joaquin Wrestling Association, and the wrestlers that came to compete. A very special thank you goes to the Delta Charter School and New Jerusalem School District for providing the schools!
